Basic

There are various chat types such as [ General / Party / Guild / Alliance / 👯 Gens / Whisper ] in Mu Online. In addition, you can freely set ON / OFF for the corresponding chat type depending on the situation.

General : You can check the general chat window.
Party : View the party chat window.
Guild : You can check the Guild chat window.
👯 Gens : You can check the 👯 Gens chat window.
Whisper : You can check the whisper chat window.
System : You can check the system chat window.
Block : You can check the chat blocking UI. [ Block chatting ] If there is a person you do not want to chat with, you can add the person's character name to the block list. Once added to the block list, the chat of the blocked character will no longer be visible.

Sending Chat Messages

MU Online uses special prefixes at the beginning of a message to select a chat channel.

General Chat : Type your message normally without a prefix.
Example: Hello everyone!

Party Chat : Use ~ before your message. Only members of your current party can see it.
Example: ~Let's go!

Guild Chat : Use @ before your message. Only members of your Guild can see it.
Example: @Hello guild!

Alliance Chat : Use @@ before your message. The message is visible to members of the Guild Alliance.
Example: @@Castle Siege starts soon!

👯 Gens Chat : Use $ before your message to communicate through the 👯 Gens chat channel.
Example: Gens!

Extended General Chat : Use # before your message. The message is displayed as a general character message for a longer time.
Example: #Selling excellent items!

Whisper / Private Messages

Whisper allows you to send a private message directly to another player. Enter or select the character name in the Whisper field and type your message. Only you and the selected player can see the conversation.

Global Chat

For server-wide communication, you can also use the /ads command. Messages sent through /ads can be seen by players across the server.
